Nike, Jordan and Converse joined forces to unveil to the world the “Art of a Champion” sneaker collection.
This collection includes 16 pieces and were being teased about last week, Now the sneakers have been unveiled. Sixteen artist came together to create their own representation of sixteen timeless performances in NBA Playoff history that showed true champions in these specific athletes.
To start off the release of the sneaker collection will be the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “Final Seconds” on April 14th and end with the Air Jordan 14 “Last Shots.” Some more of the admirable athletes apart of this collection will be Kevin Mchales in ’84, Scottie Pippen in ’93 and even Rasheed Wallace for his performance in ’04.
One of the most anticipated and talked about shoes today from the collection is the Jordan 1 “Pass the Torch” releasing April 28th. These were inspired by Kawhi Leonard Game 3 performance, dropping 29 points and Leonard being voted MVP. The shoe has the Jordan 1 silhouette, silver and black translucent, blue outsole . Leonard’s signature Klaw logo will be on the left shoe tongue, and on right shoe’s insole. It will also include a gold Larry O’brien hang tag.
