North Korea Blew Up Its Joint Liaison Office With South Korea

South Korea’s Ministry of Unification has confirmed North Korea attacked the inter-Korean liaison office, which has acted as a meeting place between the two nations for a number of years. North Korea warned the South of possible military action just hours before the attack was carried out.

Rather than celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first-ever inter-Korean summit that pledged increased dialogue and cooperation between the two Koreas, bilateral ties are now reverting almost to the situation before the historic event.
