During his daily briefing, Cuomo told reporters on Thursday that he supports the Columbus statue in New York because it represents the “Italian-American contribution” throughout the country.

“The statue has come to represent and signify the Italian American contribution to New York,” Cuomo says on the Christopher Columbus statues being vandalized.

Many Italian Americans hopped on Twitter to talk about Governor Cuomo decision not to remove the statue.
