Patrick Stewart personally invites Whoopi Goldberg to join Star Trek: Picard cast -

During an appearance on The View, Stewart issued Goldberg with a formal invitation to reprise her role as Guinan for the second season of the newest series. Goldberg became emotional at the offer before accepting. The talkshow host starred alongside Stewart, who portrays Captain Jean-Luc Picard, in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
