Peacock just dropped the first-look images and announced the July 16th premiere date for its upcoming drama series, The Five Star Weekend, which stars and executive-produces Emmy-nominated Jennifer Garner.
The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast including D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, Timothy Olyphant, Rob Huebel, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, West Duchovny, Judy Greer, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez.
The story follows the life of Hollis Shaw, a famous cook and best-selling cookbook author known for her culinary creations, her taste, and her warmth. But when Hollis faces a tremendous loss, she cannot seem to get her life back on track as the tensions in her marriage threaten her seemingly perfect life, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her need to validate her audience.
In search of answers and her way back to herself, Hollis Shaw decides to take a weekend trip to her summer home in Nantucket with her friends from her childhood, her twenties, her thirties, and one mystery guest. As the weekend unfolds against the backdrop of the ocean, the group pushes boundaries and uncovers secrets, facing personal growth and emotional reckoning.
Created by Bekah Brunstetter, the series also marks her writing and executive producing debut. The series also boasts the writing and executive producing credits of Beth Schacter, with Minkie Spiro directing and executive producing the series alongside Sue Naegle and Ali Krug of Dinner Party Productions, Elin Hilderbrand, and Merri Howard. Jennifer Garner also serves as an executive producer.
The series is produced by Universal Content Productions, which is part of Universal Studio Group.
All eight episodes of the series are set to drop on July 16th exclusively on Peacock.
