Popeyes employees held at gunpoint over sold out chicken sandwiches

Houston police confirmed that a man pulled a gun on employees at a Popeyes restaurant because they’d run out of chicken sandwiches. A KTRK reporter said employees were able to lock the alleged offenders outside.

They skipped the register, didn’t ask for access to the safe and didn’t want anything belonging to staff or customers. A strong arm robbery… over a chicken sandwich.
