The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Sunday announced the birth of their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The name pays tribute to Harry’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Meghan gave birth to a 7lb 11oz daughter in California and “both mother and child are healthy and well,” Meghan’s press secretary said.
The couple’s Archewell website says Lili was born Lili on Friday, June 4th at 11:40am “in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara”.

“The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
The Sussexes are not sharing a photograph at this time. Further updates are available via the Archewell website which also directs people asking about gifts to learn more about the work of selected charities.
