PRINCESS RHAENYS TARGARYEN: THE BAD B*TCH OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS

HBO’s most viewed series of the year, the ‘House of the Dragon,’ has officially begun with King Viserys (Paddy Considine) dying at the end of episode eight.

The ninth episode starts with King’s Hand, Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) trying to rush the coronation of Prince Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) before Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) finds out about the passing of her father. Most of the episode is spent on the Queen and King’s Hand searching for Prince Aegon. They locked up servants and even killed nobles who either didn’t bend their knees or tried to let Princess Rhaenyra know the news of her father.

Princess Rhaenys was locked in her room to proceed with Prince Aegon’s coronation. Queen Alicent Hightower tries her best to bring Princess Rhaenys to The Greens, but her good old cousin-in-law would not budge.

Lord Larys (Matthew Needham) is giving Little Finger vibes in the first season of ‘House of the Dragon.’ Lord Caswell (Paul Hickey) tries to escape after fake bending the knee to tell Princess Rhaneyra her father is dead. That plan didn’t work out because of Lord Larys. The lord is also working with Alicent Hightower and Otto Hightower separately. His character has no loyalty to anyone besides chaos.

After all the searching for Prince Aegon, in this episode, they finally got him to his coronation. He got to wear the crown and finally got cheers from the people. He’s been wanting to feel loved, and he finally got it, but typical ‘Game of Thrones’ celebrations always end up being a tragedy. Princess Rhaenys ends the coronation shortly after she pops with Meleys. She could have ended the show right there but takes mercy on The Greens because she has morals.

Next week on House of the Dragon season 1, episode 10, is the beginning of the chaos from the trailer. We will see dragons and possible bloodshed. Princess Rhaenyra is aware that The Greens are trying to erase her and her children from this world.
