Santiago “Daveeys” Ruiz, a professional Valorant player, tragically passed away at the age of 23. On September 4th, his organization, KRÜ Esports, made the announcement.

Daveeys joined KRÜ Esports in October 2022 and quickly became a valuable member of the team. His 23rd birthday was on September 2, 2023, the day before his death.

KRÜ Esports issued a statement expressing their deep sadness at Daveeys’ death. The organization revealed that he died as a result of a medical problem on Sunday, September 3. The news surprised everyone.

Daveeys was regarded as a fantastic player and a fantastic teammate. He worked hard and represented his country and the global VALORANT community with humility. It was his dream to inspire others and be successful in his field, and he saw that dream come true.

During this difficult time, KRÜ Esports extended their thoughts and condolences to Daveeys’ family and friends. They asked the entire community to show their love and support to those affected by this tragic loss.

Daveeys made a significant contribution to KRÜ Esports’ success, assisting the team in qualifying for Valorant Champions 2023 by winning the Americas Last Chance Qualifier. Despite finishing in the top 16 at Champions, they were defeated by Giants.

Before Daveeys’ death was made public, his teammate axeddy posted on Twitter, urging everyone to express their love for their loved ones.
