Rapper Shon Brown Debuts New Album “EATTT”

Atlanta-based rapper Shon Brown released his new album “EATTT” on Dec. 9th. The 9-track project is the latest from Brown who is quickly becoming the voice of East Atlanta. The album includes songs like “New Money,” “Amber Rose,” and ‘Impressive” with features and collaborations from fellow Atlanta-based artists Verlon and others.

The debut single from the album “On My Face” was produced by Decatur, GA native TL on the Beat who has produced beats for artists including Impxct and Genius & Felipe. The song is a trap anthem with a creative instrumental with a synchronized flute riff in sync with Brown’s flow.

Coming up in East Atlanta wasn’t easy for Brown, but he turned his pain into music. Being influenced by rappers from his neighborhood like T.I. and Bankroll Fresh, Brown began making music rapping about the street life often getting inspiration from his own upbringing.

In an interview from April with DJ Smallz Eyes, Brown described growing up fast including losing his virginity at around age 12. He also mentioned overcoming being extremely young and being exposed to criminal activity in the sixth grade. Mostly, Brown relates his life experience to being a “product of his environment.”

Despite his upbringing, Brown has overcome a lot of difficulty and trials.

I’m leaving my mark by beating the odds. I will do everything in my power to become a legend in no time. The way I handle business, the way I promote, & the way I perform will be like none other,” Brown mentioned to WhereistheBuzzz when asked about his music.

And, he isn’t lying. Not only does Shon Brown rap but he also has his own YouTube channel, “The Life of a Becoming” that documents his life and journey into the music industry.

I was born into music. It’s always been a passion of mine watching my older brothers do their thing! I always say ‘it’s gotta be in you not on you…’ it’s in me.”

Shon Brown’s album “EATTT” can be streamed on Apple Music and Spotify.
