Regé-Jean Page Denied Role in ‘Krypton’ Because Project Supervisor Geoff Johns Allegedly Claimed Superman Can’t Have A Black Grandfather

Regé-Jean Page participated in auditions to play Superman’s grandfather in the ‘Krypton’ series, however Geoff Johns was against the lineup, allegedly stating that Superman could not have a black grandfather, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It was recently announced Regé-Jean Page, one of the breakout stars of “Bridgerton,” won’t be returning for season two of the hit Netflix period drama.

Page was only on contract for one season, and the plan was always for Page to only do Season 1. His character will be referenced going forward.

Page recently landed one of the lead roles in the new Dungeons & Dragons and just finished recording the Netflix movie The Gray Man.
