The Clara Lionel Foundation which supports and funds innovative and effective education and health programs around the world for young children. The Barbados Goddess has been appointed the nation’s “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary,” according to a press release from the country’s Government Information Service. Riri was the cultural ambassador for Barbados for seven years before getting promoted.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said “Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education. She also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to this country and continues to treasure the island as her home.” Rihanna has been bringing the country money alone off of her stardom. Tourism has tripled since Rihanna has been promoting it back in 2008. She will now promote the country’s education and investment efforts as part of her new responsibilities. The breaking news comes a little over a week of Rihanna Diamond Ball which raised six million dollars for her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation.
