In a new interview for Vogue‘s November cover story, the singer talked about all things Ri like her upcoming album, her Fenty Line, and love life. While doing that, the superstar also weighed in on a couple of trending topics including her ditching the Super Bowl Halftime gig in support of Colin Kaepernick, and controversial President, Donald Trump.
When asked if she had declined the halftime show in solidarity with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, without hesitation Rihanna, 31, responded, “Absolutely.”
“I couldn’t dare do that,” she continued. “For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There are things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”

I don’t mean to sound arrogant but, there’s nothing the Super Bowl platform can do for Rihanna that she hasn’t done or can’t do for herself. They need her, not the other way around.
Rihanna turning down the Superbowl performance for Kap just made me love her even more.
