After Roc Nation and the NFL announced their partnership, they have hit the ground running with ideas.

According to a new report from TMZ, the Inspire Change program is donating a great deal of money to two lucky Chicago groups, which gives at-risk kids alternatives to gang and gun violence. Vic Mensa, Rapsody, Meghan Trainer and Meek Mill will visit both programs this week. The lucky groups, BBF (Better Boys Foundation) Family Services and Crusher’s Club, were hand-selected by JAY-Z.

The news comes a few days after Meek Mill, Rapsody and Meghan Trainer were announced as advocates for Roc Nation and the NFL’s new Inspire Change apparel line and Songs of the Season initiative.

The deal will allow the three artists to perform at the NFL Kickoff Event in Chicago, which will take place tomorrow (Sept. 5). Meek and Meghan’s performance will air during a 40-minute pre-televised game.

Following the news of JAY-Z’s partnership with the NFL, many members of the hip-hop community have offered their support including Killer Mike, Cardi B, Vic Mensa and Diddy. In a very thoughtful post, Diddy reiterated that Hov’s new position allows him to play chess not checkers.

“Hov is one of the greatest to ever do it. He has been there more than anybody from the hip hop culture, including me. He always has been so selfless and fights for other people. We as a people can not be divided and conquered at this time!” Diddy said on Instagram.

He continued, “I was just watching everything last week but it hurt me to my heart because I know this man personally. He’s one of the most genuine and intelligent black leaders we’ve ever had. We cannot go against each other, there’s not enough of us. I applaud Jay Z and I applaud the NFL for bringing him in.”
