Romanian Authorities Charge Wiz Khalifa with Drug Possession

Wiz Khalifa faces potential jail time in Romania after being charged with illegal drug possession. The charges stem from a performance at a music festival where Khalifa allegedly consumed cannabis onstage.

Cannabis is classified as a “risk drug” in Romania, carrying penalties of up to ten years in prison for possession. According to a statement released by Romanian prosecutors on Sunday, Khalifa was found to be in possession of more than 18 grams of cannabis in addition to consuming some of the substance onstage during his performance at the “Beach, Please!” festival in Costinesti.

While Khalifa was questioned by authorities following the incident, he was not detained.
