Sabrina Carpenter Becomes Carrie Bradshaw in Hilarious SNL Promo

Sabrina Carpenter is officially strutting down her New York moment in Manolo Blahniks and pure camp. The pop princess stars in a brand-new Saturday Night Live promo that shamelessly parodies Sex and the City, and let’s just say… she understood the assignment.

Sabrina and the City Is Born

The scene kicks off just like any traditional Carrie Bradshaw montage: mopey New York City backdrops, voiceover puns about “the Big Apple,” and Sabrina cackling maniacally while clacking away on a laptop that, surprise twist, isn’t even booted up. It’s total madness. A man respectfully says “Up top” while saluting her in the hall, to which she says “Probably” and awkwardly welcomes yet another man that she so insists is “Mr. Big.” Spoiler alert: his name’s Marcello, and no, he doesn’t swoon for her pumpkin patch lies.

But the real gag? Sabrina delivers all of this with that perfect wide-eyed innocence and razor-sharp comedic timing that makes you forget she’s supposed to be the sultry pop star of the moment. Instead, she’s the Carrie we never knew we needed: self-aware, unserious, and messy in all the right ways.

Fans Lose Their Collective Minds

The internet, naturally, collapsed into itself the second “Sabrina and the City” dropped. One fan gasped, “This is the perfect intersection of things I love.” Another shrieked, “Are you kidding, Sabrina and the City, they actually did this for me.” Someone else simply called her “Sabrina Bradshaw,” which honestly feels like the official rebrand.

Twitter, TikTok, and all the Manhattan group chats concurred on the fact that Sabrina is funny in addition to being hot. As a commenter accurately but directly said: “So she’s funny AND hot… no wonder someone dislikes her.”

The Future Funny Girl

No wonder why Sabrina has been keeping it in the bag this year with top-charting singles, sold-out shows, and now, comedic queen potential. Fans even drew the comparison to the Please Don’t Destroy group by writing, “She’s actually a comedian.

And finishing the promo by ending on the very Carrie-like sentence, “I wondered how she worked her way into the cast and crew… left to do what? No idea. The computer’s not even on. Amazing,” SNL is making it very clear that they’re not simply having Sabrina host but are proclaiming her the new member of the funniest girl crew in New York.

Consider this your official SATC reboot: Sabrina and the City.
