Sabrina Carpenter, an American singer-songwriter and actress, has released a new music video for her song “Feather,” which was directed by Mia Barnes.
The track is featured on her fifth studio album deluxe edition, titled “emails i can’t send fwd:”, which was released in March.
Sabrina Carpenter, along with Amy Allen and Lostboy, wrote and produced the song. She first performed it at the MTV VMAs in August and recorded a different version for Spotify in October.
Regarding the alternative version, Carpenter stated that it has a more funk and less pop sound, showcasing the song’s musicality with a Wurli and a tight bass line, paired with a laid-back vocal style.
Carpenter also mentioned that the song carries a lot of attitude, making it exciting to express that in this rendition.
