The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deputy for holding 4’8″ Shantel Arnold by her hair and repeatedly slamming her head into the pavement. He ripped several braids from her scalp. The officer proceed to tried to convince her sister to commit her to a hospital for mental health problems.

Arnold was attacked about three boys less than an hour earlier before this officer brutalized her. Arnold was a victim trying to get help but ended up being in more danger when the officer arrived.
