Nothing can stop Simone Biles from being great, not even kidney stones. Simone Biles was hospitalized, and unable to practice for two days before the 2018 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
After, Simone left the hospital, she flew to Qatar with out having surgery to remove the kidney stone and dominated the competition. She was the event’s highest ranking gymnast, but she also pushed the United States team to the number one spot. Placing highest for the beam, individual all-around, floor, and vault during the qualifying rounds, Biles secured a place in the finals. The Olympic gold medalist will go on to compete this week in the finals along with teammate Morgan Hurd, who placed behind her in the individual all-around.
