Tidal is had a discussion on Black Lives Matter with Russell Simmons as one of the panelists.
Russell Simmons literally fled the country after being accused of sexually assaulting many black women. This man is allowed to discuss black lives matter knowing the pain he brought to those these women accusing him. This is disrespectful to black women and if black lives really matter then we got start treating our queens with more respect.
Russell Simmons has been seen on Revolt and Tidal doing interviews about social justice issues despite the allegations of sexual violence and harassment he has engaged in for decades.
Jay-Z and Diddy won’t stand up for Russell Simmons publicly but this move ain’t a good look for them as black men and business owners. They are giving him a platform to speak freely like he isn’t being accused of anything. Not one panelist challenged Simmons on his past behaviors.

Jay Z and Puff won’t stand up for Russell via public statements but they are still rape apologists. By quietly giving him an unchallenged voice on their media platforms they make a huge statement: Black survivors of sexual violence are an irrelevant casualty of hip hop.
