Reality TV star Harry Jowsey, known for his appearance on Netflix’s “Too Hot to Handle,” recently faced significant backlash after revealing that he attempted to contact singer-actress Sabrina Carpenter immediately following news of her breakup with actor Barry Keoghan.

During an interview on Kristin Cavallari’s podcast “Let’s Be Honest,” Jowsey, 27, disclosed that he sent a direct message to Carpenter, 25, on the same day her split from Keoghan became public. He admitted, “It didn’t work. Like, there was no reply.”

This revelation did not sit well with many social media users, who criticized Jowsey’s actions as opportunistic and insensitive. One commenter remarked, “She just broke up with the lead actor from ‘Saltburn’ and you think she’s gonna reply to you, Harry Jowsey, from ‘Too Hot to Handle’?” Another quipped, “God grant me the confidence of a white man with abs.” Additional reactions included, “I wouldn’t wish this man on anyone,” and “Get a job! Stay away from her!” A particularly pointed comment read, “How insensitive do you have to be to go after a girl who JUST broke up with her boyfriend? You can’t be more of a DISGUSTING WORM.”

Carpenter and Keoghan’s breakup was confirmed in early December 2024, after approximately a year of dating. Sources indicated that the split was amicable, with both parties choosing to focus on their respective careers.

Jowsey’s attempt to initiate contact with Carpenter so soon after her breakup has been widely perceived as tactless, leading to the online roasting he is currently experiencing.
