Solya Announces Debut Album Queen of Texas

Solya is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from West Texas. The artist is excited to announce that she is getting ready to release her debut album “Queen of Texas” on March 6th, 2026, under VERSION III. The 10-track album is now up for pre-order/pre-save here. To share this exciting news with the world, Solya also dropped “Tell Me It’s Over,” which is the first single.

It’s all Texas music, produced in Lockhart, TX with producer Danny Reisch (Khruangbin, Local Natives) and other collaborators based in Texas. Solya is the sole writer on all the songs, playing rhythm guitar, synths, and piano. Reisch handles percussion, while Jason Chronis of Tele Novella and Voxtrot handles both bass and lead guitar. The new full-length builds upon the bedroom-pop sensibilities of the early singles into a lush, dreamy sound that is very much a product of Texas. The songs oscillate between warmth-infused Americana sounds and indie-rock soundscapes. The ballads feature psychedelic tales interfaced with Solya’s own thoughts on heartbreak, identity, and what it’s like to be a young gay person in a very conservative small town.

But as Solya’s voice reaches outside of West Texas, she continues to draw inspiration from the music she was raised with and the landscape she lives among today. “Many artists feel as if they have to move to New York or LA to make it,” Solya explains. “I don’t feel as if I have to move to a big city because I get my inspiration from my roots, and I just want to be the Queen of Texas.”

In 2025, Solya previewed her album Queen of Texas through songs such as “Silver Swan,” “Movie Star,” and “19,” and “Born Wicked.” It comes after her 2023 EP Fever Dream and her 2024 EP Jewel Box, and after her initial success with songs such as “Tear Me Apart” and “We Say Goodbye,” among others.

To celebrate the release of her album, Solya will embark on the Queen of Texas Tour. The tour will begin with dates in Texas in February and will continue to tour 24 major markets across the US and Canada from May to July. Tele Novella, a duo from Lockhart, TX, will open for her at all shows. Tickets for the Texas dates are on sale now. Tickets for the North American dates go on sale this Friday at 10:00am ET. This is Solya’s first tour with a full band. Past solo headlining tours have included a mostly sold-out 21-date co-headline tour of North America with Baby Bugs, four sold-out headline dates in the UK, and a sold-out show at LA’s Troubadour.
