The last time fans heard from Sonder was back in 2019 with the group’s last single, “What You Heard”. On the other hand, Brent Faiyaz, who is the lead singer of the group, has released many singles and his latest project F*** the World, back in 2020. Faiyaz is back with another single with his fellow members of Sonder, producers Atu and Dpat, as well as British star, Jorja Smith.
Jorja Smith is known for her soothing vocals and releasing singles with artists such as Burna Boy and Popcaan. The pair came together on Sonder’s latest single, “Nobody But You”, which consists of the two in a duet singing about a failed relationship.
This is a song that will definitely get fans in their feelings because it feels as though you’re in the middle of Faiyaz’s and Smith’s relationship coming to an end. The acoustic guitar and the vocals throughout the song made the perfect R&B song that fans never knew they needed until now. After two years of being quiet, let’s hope that this single jump starts the Sonder wave again just in time for the summer.
