Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “One Piece” continues to expand its ensemble for the eagerly awaited second season. Sophia Anne Caruso, celebrated for her role as Lydia Deetz in Broadway’s “Beetlejuice” and her performance in “The School for Good and Evil,” has been cast as Miss Goldenweek, a member of the clandestine Baroque Works organization.
Joining Caruso are Mark Penwill, known for “Catch Me a Killer,” who will portray Chess, and Anton David Jeftha of “Legacy,” taking on the role of K.M.
Miss Goldenweek, a character from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, is recognized for her calm demeanor and unique abilities, making her a formidable adversary to the Straw Hat Pirates. Chess and K.M. are notable as loyal subordinates of the antagonist Wapol, contributing to the diverse array of challenges faced by the protagonists.
The second season of “One Piece” is set to delve deeper into the Grand Line, introducing a host of new characters and adventures that expand the rich tapestry of Oda’s world.
