A teaser has been released for “Imposters,” a mind-bending sci-fi thriller feature film from writer-director Caleb Phillips, ahead of its world premiere at SXSW.
“Imposters” is set to make its world premiere at SXSW on Sunday, March 15, at 9:00 p.m. at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar as part of the Midnighters section of SXSW. It is classified as a Narrative Feature.
Sci-Fi Thriller on Loss and Suspicion
“Imposters” is a sci-fi thriller about a couple whose baby boy is kidnapped. In response to this tragedy, his mother finds a way to get him back. Her husband becomes suspicious that what she has brought home may not be his son after all.
Cast and Production
“Happy Death Day” star Jessica Rothe leads “Imposters” with Charlie Barnett (“Russian Doll”) and Yul Vazquez (“Severance”) also starring.
The other cast includes Bates Wilder, Luisina Quarleri, Thomas Parobek, Ian Lyons, Taylor Karin, Lee Bennett, and Declan Bennett.
“Imposters” is produced by Thomas Bond, Sara Seligman, and Joe Bandelli.
“Imposters” is writer-director Caleb Phillips’ feature film directorial debut.
SXSW Midnighter Premiere
“Imposters” is set to make its world premiere at SXSW 2026 in the Midnighters section, dedicated to darker genre storytelling, including horror, sci-fi, and thrillers.
“Imposters” is set to premiere on March 15 at 9:00 p.m. at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, Texas.
