Hollywood intersected with hoops in a hurry this weekend as actress Sydney Sweeney and WNBA player Sophie Cunningham left onlookers in awe as they posed together at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in Phoenix.

A photo taken inside the venue of the Phoenix Raceway shows both women radiating like the sun in the desert: Sweeney wearing a cream-colored jacket with red trim, a white crop top, and black shorts, as well as Cunningham wearing a “Phoenix” white baseball jersey with frayed denim shorts and a gray T-shirt. Two blondes from two different worlds.

“Euphoria” star Sweeney and fiery Indiana Fever guard Cunningham shared a laugh that exhaled a carefree confidence radiating a potent “America’s Next Power Duo” aura. Sweeney and Cunningham are no strangers to athletic prowess. Sweeney is no secret in her affection for old cars and motorsports, while Cunningham is known to be one of the toughest in the WNBA.

Shortly afterward, this picture went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, sparking a deluge of meme jokes about hypothetical song releases.

A tweet stated, “Love seeing stars from various realms, from the world of films to sports, come together in one place for one thing: the excitement of competition.”

Another joked, “This is a MAGA crossover I never expected.”

Others simply admired the aesthetics: “Not really into ’em, but some of these are the best white women I see.”

Reactions ranged from comedic disbelief: “Did not have this crossover on my 2025 bingo card, but I’m here for it” to straight-up adoration: “What an attractive pair this is, absolutely stunning.”

But then there also came the regretful few: “GOD DAMNIT I KNEW I SHOULD’VE GONE TO NASCAR.”
