At tonight’s We Love Green festival, American singer-songwriter SZA took a poignant stand, expressing her solidarity with the Palestinian cause. During an emotional performance of her song “20 Something,” SZA paused to deliver a powerful message, stating, “FREE PALESTINE.”

The song “20 Something,” a reflective piece about the challenges and uncertainties faced by young adults, became the perfect backdrop for SZA’s message. She shared her empathy with the struggles of twenty-somethings, noting how difficult it is to navigate this pivotal decade of life. “This is what many people in their 20’s go through,” she said. “I pray for all of them because I know how hard it is to find your way out of your 20s.”

The TDE artist reach is enormous, with 74 million Spotify listeners, 20 million Instagram followers, 5 million YouTube subscribers, and 8 million X (previously Twitter) followers. Her statement today is expected to reverberate powerfully with her audience and beyond, drawing major attention to the Palestine cause.

SZA joins a growing list of musicians who have publicly advocated for a free Palestine. This list has well-known artists like The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Kehlani, Macklemore, and Kid Cudi. These artists use their platforms to highlight the ongoing war and advocate for human rights and justice.
