The Cast of “Tell Me Lies” Talks Hulu’s New Drama Series

Tell Me Lies

‘’Tell Me Lies’’ is a brand-new drama coming to Hulu’s fall line up and I promise you, it will not disappoint. Trigger warning: you may be triggered to call or text your toxic ex.

Carola Lovering’s “Tell Me Lies” 2018 novel inspired Hulu’s new series. Presented as a thrilling love story about the relationship you could not get over, the toxic love you could rid yourself of, it’s a story we know all too well. Familiarity is something that has connected the audience to the book.

Now thanks to Hulu and creator Meaghan Oppenheimer, a newer and broader audience will get to experience the hypnotic and complicated relationship between Lucy and Stephen. The Story of how Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) first meet in college and start a toxic relationship that affects them and everyone else around him.

I chatted with the cast and creator of “Tell Me Lies” and got some insight and point of view on why this story rings true to so many of us and why it was so relatable. I sat down with Grace Van Patten (“Lucy”), Jackson White (“Stephen”), Sonia Mena (Pippa”), Catherine Missal (“Bree”), Alicia Crowder (“Diana”), Branden Cook (“Evan”), Benjamin Wadsworth (“Drew”) Spencer House (“Wrigley”) and show’s creator Meaghan Oppenheimer.

The cast agreed this show opens up old relationship wounds and forces you to look at how you dealt with your past relationships.

“Tell Me Lies” is enjoyable and therapeutic for anybody going through a dating crisis, and with the release of the show, I hope it encourages people to tell their stories.

The first three episodes of ‘’Tell Me Lies’’ are now streaming on Hulu.
