Hussle’s achievements were commemorated with a posthumous humanitarian award during the 2019 BET Awards. Nipsey’s girlfriend, Lauren London, took the stage to accept the award, thanked the crowd for their well wishes and reminded the audience that “The Marathon continues again.”
Nipsey Hussle was an incredibly gifted artist, but more importantly a father, a true leader, and a pillar within his community. He leaves a legacy of excellence and ambition.
Nipsey Hussle should’ve gotten the humanitarian award a long time ago. He shouldn’t have had to die before he got the award. We’ve got to start awarding people while they are able to know they are appreciated.
