Emmy Award-winning comedian Trevor Noah is set to return as the host of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2, 2025, marking his fifth consecutive year in this role. In addition to hosting, Noah will also serve as a producer for the show.
The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing on the CBS Television Network from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ET (5 to 8:30 p.m. PT). Viewers can also stream the event live and on-demand via Paramount+.
This year’s Grammys carry a renewed sense of purpose, aiming to raise additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and to honor the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect others. Discussions were held about potentially postponing the ceremony due to the series of wildfires affecting Southern California. However, in a joint statement, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and board chair Tammy Hurt confirmed that the ceremony will proceed as planned, emphasizing their commitment to public safety and responsible use of area resources.
The nominations for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on November 8, 2024. Beyoncé leads with eleven nominations, setting a new one-year record for nominations by a female artist and bringing her career total to 99, making her the most nominated artist in Grammy history. Taylor Swift earned her seventh nomination for Album of the Year with “The Tortured Poets Department,” becoming the first woman to achieve this milestone. Notably, “Now and Then” by the Beatles is the first song produced with the help of artificial intelligence to be nominated for a Grammy. At 100 years old, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter became the oldest nominee ever, receiving a nod for Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording.
The Grammy Awards are the only peer-recognized accolade in music, voted on by the Recording Academy’s membership body of music makers across all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers.
As the date approaches, anticipation builds for a night that not only celebrates musical excellence but also contributes to meaningful causes affecting the Los Angeles community and beyond.
