Tyla’s ascent in the music world shows no signs of slowing down as she releases the highly anticipated music video for “Jump,” a standout collaboration from her debut album featuring Gunna and Skillibeng. Directed by the renowned NABIL, the visually stunning video captures the trio navigating the vibrant streets of Johannesburg, South Africa, Tyla’s hometown.
Skillibeng, the Jamaican dancehall star, adds a fresh, never-before-heard verse to the track, infusing it with his distinctive energy and enhancing its dynamic appeal. The video pays homage to Tyla’s roots, showcasing the cultural richness of Johannesburg and highlighting the city’s influence on her music.
The lyrics of “Jump” reflect Tyla’s pride in her origins:
They ain’t never had a pretty girl from Jo’burg See me now and that’s what they prefer I don’t touch no wheel ’cause I got a chauffeur First class how I get ’round the world
Gunna joined Tyla in Johannesburg for the video shoot, with the pair spotted at the trendy Konka club in Soweto a few weeks ago, further igniting excitement among fans.
