Vallejo PD Shot and Killed Sean Monterrosa While He Was On His Knees

Sean Monterrosa, 22, was on his knees with his hands raised when he was fired at five times and killed by a Vallejo police officer on Tuesday, June 2. It was the first confirmed death at the hands of law enforcement in California since the death of George Floyd.

Multiple sources have named Det. Jarrett Tonn as the officer who shot Sean Monterrosa Tuesday morning.

Here’s Sean speaking about a youth development program he participated in a few years ago.

Too many young Black and Brown men and women have died at the hands of the Vallejo Police Department. We live in a critical moment following the death of George Floyd. The whole world is watching now.
