Veronica Youngblood Found Guilty For Killing Her Two Daughters To Get Revenge On Her Ex-Husband

A Virginia woman has been found guilty of murdering her daughters. The prosecutors revealed that the mother did it to get revenge on her ex-husband, who planned on taking his daughter and moving away from her.

37-year-old Veronica Youngblood reportedly admitted to killing her 15-year-old daughter Sharon Castro and 5-year-old Brooklynn Youngblood.

Although Veronica admitted to the crime, she pleaded not guilty because of insanity to the murders, according to the Washington Post.

Kelsey Gill, the Fairfax County Assistant Commonwealth’s lawyer, described Veronica as a malicious, selfish, and deliberate killer during the trial.

Before killing her daughters, Veronica reportedly gave them sleeping gummies to prevent them from stopping her wicked plans.

She shot Brooklyn in the head and Sharon twice, once in the back and once in the chest.

Sharon called 911 to let the police know she shot them. Sadly, Sharon died later in the hospital, and Brooklyn died at the crime scene.

During the tragic incident, Veronica reportedly called her ex-husband Ron Youngblood to let him know she hated him and shot the kids while her daughters were on the floor in a pool of blood.

The Virginia jury wasn’t convinced that mental illness affected the brutal killings. Last week, she got convicted of first-degree murder and two counts of felony firearms use for the August 5th, 2018, double murder. She faces 78 years in prison.
