Victoria Monét Explodes With New Fiery Music Video "Party Girls" Feat. Buju Banton

Victoria Monét, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer, has released her new steamy female summer anthem, “Party Girls,” which features renowned dancehall legend, Buju Banton.

Monét glides over soaring instrumentation, wavy basslines, and sharp percussions throughout the D’Mile, Yonatan “SDTRK” Ayal, and Dready-produced track, setting ablaze her seductive vocal treatments reminiscent of Sade — fusing her R&B roots with classic dancehall sounds.

“Party Girls,” inspired by a fiery verse from Buju Banton, is adrenaline-packed and effortlessly inviting—a certified summer classic. The Meji Alabi-directed music video captures the pulsating grit of a classic Jamaican dancehall party, complete with Victoria’s striking looks styled by Kollin Carter and jaw-dropping dance breaks from world-renowned choreographer Sean Bankhead. Monét, who is crystal-encrusted and compulsively hypnotic, is undeniably the life of the party, dancing from room to room and exuding all the characteristics of the ultimate party girl.

“Party Girls is an ode to the women all over the world, who keep the party going!” says Monét. “If you remember any social gathering, nightlife extravaganza, or day party, you’ll likely remember a moment when a woman made it so much more exciting!” I wanted to make a song that gave credit where credit was due while also curating a sensual Caribbean-infused R&B song to keep the party going. “I hope you enjoy this song and feel sexy, empowered, and appreciated!”

Victoria Monét said.

“Party Girls” follows the recent single “Smoke” featuring Lucky Daye, an unapologetic ode to herbal ecstasy that received praise from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Flaunt, Nylon, Hypebeast, and others.

Both singles herald the start of a new era for Victoria Monét, which brung an end to the long-awaited hiatus since her much-anticipated 2020 solo project JAGUAR.

Monét has steadily turned up the heat since then, with a string of releases including remixes with Kehlani (“Touch Me”) and Bryson Tiller (“We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet).”

Additional tracks “F.U.C.K.” and “Coastin'” expanded on the JAGUAR sound and emphasized it’s staying power with impressive visuals set in Monét’s signature brown tones and 70s influences.

She’s also gone viral on social media with the #SomeCutChallenge and is currently running an open verse challenge for her hit song “We Might Even Be Falling In Love.”

Monét’s breakthrough artistry led to appearances on The Late Night Show with Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome, as well as festivals such as Made In America, Sol Blume, and Day N Vegas, as well as a coveted spot as an artist partner with Cash App Studios.

In collaboration with Spotify and Goldenvoice, Monét recently sold out her first-ever headlining show in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theatre. The show sold out in less than a minute, according to Billboard, and Monét “made sure the crowd never forgot who she is.”

Much more music from the superstar is on the horizon as anticipation builds for the much-anticipated album JAGUAR II, which is set to be released in the summer of 2023 as a new member of RCA Records.
