Girls don’t want boyfriends, we want Ariana Grande x Sza to collaborate before 2021 ends.
Earlier this year, there were rumors floating around that SZA was going to be on Ariana Grande deluxe version of Positions. SZA ultimately shut down that rumor after responding to a fan saying “Lol I wish but nah.”
While they haven’t collaborated together, the two have collaborated with some of the same artists in the past. They both were featured on Doja Cat’s ‘Planet Her’ album this year. They both have created a song together with The Weeknd. So who knows what the future holds.
Should Ariana Grande and SZA collaborate?
The answer is yes. The two have different styles but will blend together well on a record.
SZA has that alternative R&B, 80 synth pop and neo-soul vibe. Some of her songs are “unravelling” and often revolve around themes of sexuality, nostalgia, and abandonment. She has a way of making something deemed as terrible in society sound great on a record such as her hit song ‘The Weekend.’ SZA has been a bright spot in the music industry for the last five years. SZA can flat out hop in any lane and be successful if she wants.
Grande has diversified her creative output since releasing her debut, expanding her sonic identity beyond a contemporary Pop sound to include elements of R&B, Hip Hop, and Dance music.
These two are some of the best artists out and they both are rewriting the history books with their music. Ariana Grande is tied with Drake for the most #1 debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with five. All 14 tracks from SZA’s debut album, ‘CTRL’, are now certified GOLD RIAA certification or higher in the U.S.
