There has been recent reports that Angela Bassett is open to return to “American Horror Story” and would like to play a villain again. I believe Ryan Murphy would do us all justice if he did a spin off of Marie Laveau. The current season of AHS 1984 started off with great potential and now has been one of the most disappointing seasons this year outside of the final season of Game of Thrones.
Marie Laveau spin-off with a black led cast would really compete with Asylum, Coven, and Cult as the best AHS season of all time.
A possible scenario could be that it takes place in the Antebellum era. Angela Bassett co-stars should Cicely Tyson, Lakeith Stanfield, Alfre Woodard, Kat Graham, Michael Ealy, Aja Naomi King, Quvenzhane Wallis, and Ashton Sanders. Nice beautiful cameos from Beyonce, Janelle Monae, and Woody Harrelson (as a Bayou dweller with a land dispute).
