One of stars of the show Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) was fired amidst a sexual misconduct scandal, Alex fights to retain her job as top news anchor while sparking a rivalry with Bradley Jackson, a haphazard field reporter whose series of impulsive decisions bring her into a new world of TV journalism. Hannah Shoenfeld was junior talent booker on the show. While the crew went to Vegas to cover the Mandalay Bay shooting. Hannah was feeling lonely and depressed about the tragedy. Mitch Kessler approached her to comfort her and ended up using her and raped her. After, the Vegas trip, Hannah reported Mitch Kessler to the head of the network, Fred Micklen. Instead of confronting and firing Mitch Kessler for his actions. He promoted Hannah to head booker of The Morning Show. Mitch Kessler tries to clear his name and take down Fred Micklen at the same time. He reaches out to Hannah about going on record to make sure Fred gets fired from the network. He later reaches out to Bradley Jackson for a one on one sit down interview. Bradley Jackson then reaches out to Hannah to get her side of the story. Without her performance the show would not work at all because her character is the one viewers really had to be invested in to really tell this story.
