Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which ran for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003, is officially making a comeback with a reboot in development at 20 Century Fox Studios. The Digital Spy reported that 20th Century Fox plan is to make the show feel “richly diverse”. If that’s true the show runners should really think about casting Lovie Simone as the lead.
Lovie Simone stars in the hit show Green Leaf and starred in the movie Share. She has the experience and when you watch her on screen it’s pretty remarkable acting.
Simone is a fan favorite as while. A Twitter account made a fake tweet saying she was casted to star in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot and Twitter went nuts.

This would be a great stepping stone for Lovie Simone career.
