WizKid has postponed the release of his fourth studio album Made In Lagos untill further notice due to the ongoing End SARS Protest in Nigeria.

WizKid via IG story: “Due to the current situation in Nigeria and everything that is happening. I’ve made a conscious decision to push back my album. My sincere apologies to my fans i have let down. I just don’t feel like it’s right for me to release at such a sensitive time.”

The album was previously scheduled to be released on OCT 15TH, 2020!

Made In Lagos featured many great artist such as HER, Ella Mai, Projexx, Damian Marley and fellow Nigerian artists Tems, Starboy Terri, Skepta and Burna Boy.

The Nigerian megastar has been very vocal against Police brutality and he was also spotted in the Uk participating in the End SARS protest on the 11th of October, 2020.

Wizkid wanted to honor Fela Kuti by dropping his long awaiting album on Felas birthday but it has to happen like this which isn’t a coincidence because Fela would’ve participated in the protest of ending SARS as well.

The protests in cities across Nigeria came after weeks of outcry online from young people in the country over claims of kidnapping, harassment and extortion by a police unit known as the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS). Demonstrations continued after the inspector general of police announced Sunday that the unit was being disbanded and its officers redeployed.
