Zendaya, Jharrel Jerome, Lupita Nyong’o, and Many More Get Snubbed From The Golden Globes

Lupita Nyong’o delivered what is arguably the best performance of the year and you cannot tell me otherwise.. seeing her get snubbed is an absolute shame. Jharrel Jerome had us all crying and wanting to fight the next police officer we seen all the street because of his performance in When They See Us. Euphoria was the best show in the summer and a lot of that has to do with Zendaya lead role in the show.

Regina King also got snubbed from a Golden Globe nomination for Watchmen. The Golden Globes didn’t really acknowledge black projects this year.

Cynthia Erivo got a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama category for Harriet, Eddie Murphy in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Dolemite Is My Name, Billy Porter for Best Actor in a Drama Series for Pose and Dolemite Is My Name for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Les Misérables was nominated for Best Foreign Language film.

Outside of the acting categories, both Cynthia Erivo and Beyonce received nominations for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for their tracks in Harriet and The Lion King.

When They See Us didn’t receive a single Golden Globe nomination which is completely blasphemous. This is honestly Ava best body of work and got disrespected and ignored by the Golden Globes. No women got a Golden Globe nomination yet again for directing. The Golden Globes are truly lacking diversity this year when diversity like every other year has been the most influential to society.
