In January 2020, Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh signed a 3-year deal to develop content for both HBO Max and HBO, which shall be exclusive in all forms of television and a first-look for features.
KIMI, a new film starring Zoë Kravitz that will be made for HBO Max thanks to the support of New Line. The project will be written by David Koepp, also involved as executive producer in collaboration with Michael Polaire.
The plot follows the story of an agoraphobic technologist, who discovers evidence of a violent crime and tries to report it. But, to get involved, you will have to do what you fear most: leave your apartment.
Soderbergh has been making films with Warner Bros. Pictures since 2001 and remains a long-time collaborator with HBO.
