A gym teacher has been charged with multiple offenses for allegedly texting inappropriate messages and photos to a teenager at her school.
According to a press release, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) arrested 22-year-old Yezmar Angeanis Ramos-Figueroa on Wednesday.
Ramos-Figueroa faces two felony charges: transmitting harmful materials to a minor and transmitting obscene materials to a minor. These acts allegedly took place while she was employed as a gym teacher at Central Pointe Christian Academy located in Kissimmee, which is a private school with other facilities throughout Florida.
The case began when the mother of the victim reported “inappropriate contact” with her 13-year-old son to the authorities in early October. The police interviewed the 13-year-old boy and located text messages and images which had been received on his phone, according to WESH.
On November 26th, police detectives spoke with Ramos-Figueroa, and she reportedly confessed to writing and transmitting those improper messages and photos, PEOPLE reported.
Yezmar Angeanis Ramos-Figueroa was booked into Osceola County Jail.
