Amber Flora, the professional wrestler who is known as Amber Nova in the ring, was arrested early on Friday in Orlando, facing DUI and refusal to undergo DUI testing charges, based on public records.

Flora, 34, was released later that morning after posting $1,000 bail on each charge, totaling $2,000. According to jail records TMZ initially obtained, Flora was arrested at 5:40 a.m. and released at 10:07 a.m.

Flora attended a mandatory court hearing on Saturday, with court docket records indicating a compliance date of November 2.

Documents filed Saturday in Orange County and obtained by eWrestlingNews.com indicate that police stopped Flora at around 1:48 a.m., suspecting her of driving under the influence and taking her to the county’s DUI testing facility. It was unclear why the time differed in the jail records. According to the documents, Flora had two attempts to provide a valid sample between 3:06 a.m. and 3:17 a.m., but failed to do so; the documents also noted that Flora requested to speak with her lawyer during the test.

After Flora agreed to take the test, the officers restarted the machine and made two more attempts between 3:19 a.m. and 3:31 a.m. to obtain a valid sample; the documents say they failed to do so. According to the officer, Flora spoke during the periods meant for providing a sample, and the test was marked as a refusal at 3:31 a.m.

Flora did not comment publicly on her arrest.

In the ring, Flora has wrestled in TNA Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance, and NXT, WWE’s developmental branch. Born in New Jersey and raised in South Carolina near Hilton Head Island, she worked as an emergency medical technician before starting her wrestling career in 2016 on the Florida independent scene. Flora’s ring character is based on her father’s profession as a mechanic and the 1973 Chevrolet Nova car she owns.

Flora’s first appearance for TNA, which at the time was known as Impact Wrestling, was in 2017. She wrestled twice in NXT, losing to Nikki Cross in 2018 and teaming up with Tanea Brooks in a 2019 loss to Io Shirai and Kairi Sane.

In April 2021, she wrestled against Kris Statlander on AEW’s main show, Dynamite, in Statlander’s return from a knee injury. Flora wrestled mostly on AEW’s Dark shows throughout 2022.

Flora won the Shine Nova Championship in 2023 by defeating Ivelisse. Her latest match took place in September. She lost to Nat Castle in a match for the IWF Women’s Championship at the IWF Homecoming event in Brockport, New York, on the 19th.
