The trailer for “Lessons in Chemistry,” the highly anticipated eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Academy Award winner Brie Larson (“Captain Marvel,” “Room,” was released today by Apple TV+.
“Lessons in Chemistry” is based on the best-selling novel by author, science editor, and copywriter Bonnie Garmus, will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 13, 2023, with the first two episodes and new episodes will debut weekly, every Friday through November 24, 2023.
“Lessons in Chemistry,” set in the early 1950s, follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of becoming a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth is fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host of a cooking show on television and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — much more than recipes.
Larson is joined by Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann in the cast.
Apple Studios produces “Lessons in Chemistry” for Apple TV+. Lee Eisenberg (“WeCrashed,” “Little America”), a seven-time Emmy Award nominee, serves as showrunner.
Sarah Adina Smith (“Hanna,” “Looking for Alaska”) directs and executive produces the first two episodes.
