For the Emmy® Award-winning series “Ms. Marvel” from Marvel Studios, Disney+ has released images from an event in Los Angeles today.
The event featured a screening of Episode 1 of the adored series, followed by a Q&A moderated by Piya Sinha-Roy, Senior Creative Writer, Hulu, with star Iman Vellani, executive producer Sana Amanat, composer Laura Karpman, and costume designer Arjun Bhasin.

In Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel,” Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teen growing up in Jersey City, is introduced. Kamala is a superhero megafan with an overactive imagination who enjoys playing video games and writing fan fiction. She is particularly fond of Captain Marvel. Nonetheless, Kamala feels out of place at school and sometimes even at home. That is until she gains superpowers like the heroes she has always admired. Superpowers, right?
The series stars Iman Vellani, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Fawad Khan, Laurel Marsden, Adaku Ononogbo, Alysia Reiner, Azhar Usman, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, and Travina Springer in addition to Aramis Knight.
Adil & Bilall (Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah) directed episodes 101 and 106, Meera Menon directed episodes 102 and 103, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directed episodes 104 and 105 of the series.
Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Adil & Bilall, Bisha K. Ali, and Sana Amanat are among the executive producers. Bisha K. Ali is also the primary author.
The first episode of Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” premiered on June 8, 2022, and all subsequent episodes are now exclusive to Disney+.
This summer, a dangerous mystery will erupt across the Marvel Universe and Ms. Marvel will tackle it head on alongside some of Marvel’s fiercest heroes-Wolverine, Moon Knight, and Venom! The upcoming saga will unfold across three oversized one-shots written by Eisner-nominated writer Jody Houser and featuring amazing art by Zé Carlos, Ibraim Roberson, and Dave Wachter. The overarching adventure will be one of Ms. Marvel’s boldest and most intense yet, taking the young hero on an exciting journey that will lay the groundwork for her next era!
Be there for the start of the saga in MS. MARVEL & WOLVERINE #1. When a mysterious threat lands in New York City, Ms. Marvel takes matters into her own embiggened hands! But with Krakoan security/tech compromised, you can bet Wolverine and the X-Men won’t be far behind!
Then, the Fist of Khonshu meets the embiggened fist of Ms. Marvel in MS. MARVEL & MOON KNIGHT #1! Moon Knight protects the travelers of night…but what about those traveling to bring him death? A mechanical (and maniacal!) threat brings Ms. Marvel into Moon Knight’s orbit, and the gravity of what they uncover will require them to plumb the depths of life and death!
The mystery will come to an epic close in September’s MS. MARVEL & VENOM #1. Venom is on the hunt…but who is hunting Venom?! Ms. Marvel and Dylan Brock, the new wicked web-slinger on the block, team up as a scheme to harness the symbiote rears its ugly head! The finale will also reveal the connection between all three team-ups, and fans won’t believe who’s been pulling the strings!

Today, Disney+ debuted Marvel Studios’ “A Fan’s Guide to Ms. Marvel,” a documentary short now streaming exclusively on the service. Key art was also unveiled to celebrate the debut.

18-year-old Canadian actor Iman Vellani has officially been cast in Marvel’s Disney+ show centered around the brand’s first Muslim superhero, Ms. Marvel. Vellani will play Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani American from New Jersey who moonlights as the superhero.
