Taylor Swift dropped a bombshell announcement during her MTV Video Music Awards speech, revealing that she will release new music this year. Swift trends at #1 worldwide following the announcement of her new album Midnights.
Her next album, Midnights, will be a 13-track work based on “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life,” according to the artist. Midnights will drop on October 21st.

Swift announced the news on Instagram today, alongside the cover art for “Karma.” She discussed working with the Bronx rapper.

So delighted to say that Karma Featuring the incredible [Ice Spice] will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album.”
Swift also revealed a new version of “Snow on the Beach” with lead vocals by Lana Del Rey.
“In addition to Karma Ft Ice Spice… You asked for it, we listened: Lana and I went back into the studio specifically to record more Lana on Snow on the Beach. Love u Lana,” Swift wrote on Instagram.
She also teased a surprise for her fans who will be attending her concert at MetLife Stadium on Friday night. A song called “You’re Losing Me” will be available only if you purchase a physical copy of the album.
“For those of you going to the East Rutherford shows – we will have a new special edition CD available ONLY on-site starting at 12:30 pm ET on Friday! This CD will have a never before heard Midnights vault track called “You’re Losing Me,” Swift said.
Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) will be released at midnight tomorrow.

‘Cracker Island’ by Gorillaz debuts at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,500 units (48,500 pure sales). It becomes their sixth top-10 album.
Yeat came in at #4, with AftërLyfe selling 55,000 units this week. Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ followed with 48,000 units sold. Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album sold 46,000 units. Metro Boomin’ HEROES & VILLAINS sold 42,000 units.
Don Toliver’s new album ‘Love Sick’ debuted at number #8 on the charts with 40,500 units sold.
The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ returns to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 for the first time since 2017, at #9 with 40,000 units. It previously spent five weeks at #1.
Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ rounded out the top 10 with 38,000 units sold this week. The album has sold over 3,768,000 units since its release and previously peaked at #1 for 13 weeks.
SZA’s “SOS” spends a 10th non-consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling a further 87,000 units.
