A$AP Rocky appears to be firing shots in his new song “Stole Ya Flow” aimed at Drake.
On Friday (Jan. 16th), the rapper from Harlem dropped his first album in eight years. It is called Don’t Be Dumb. It has 17 songs. Among them is “Stole Ya Flow,” which appears to target Drake.
The refrain continues: “First you steal my flow, so I stole your bi**h/I can’t trust a soul, just my pole and my kid.”
Rocky goes on in the first verse, “N****s getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame/Throwing dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game.”
He continues: “You just a sensitive n****, still in his feelings/You bit the image, my n****, I had to switch it.”
Rocky and Drake have been enemies for a few years, even though they collaborated on music early in their careers. This beef intensified when Drake appeared to dis Rihanna on his song “Fear of Heights” from his album For All the Dogs, released in November 2023. In January, Rocky seemed to fire back on Kid Cudi’s “Wow.” Rocky continued the beef on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands.” Drake clapped back at Rocky on his songs “Family Matters” and “It’s Up.”
There has been no reconciliation yet. Rocky spoke about where the beef originated with Aubrey on the Popcast podcast on Thursday (Jan. 15th).
“People started out as friends and just became foes,” Rocky said. “Seemed like they was unhappy for you and started sending shots. I think that’s what led to any of our misunderstandings or whatever the case is. It really ain’t smoke.”
He also stated that “Stole Ya Flow” is “about whoever thinks it’s about them.”
