The biggest Brazilian musician star today has left her record label after eleven years.

Warner Music and Anitta released a joint statement today (April 4th), which said: “After eleven years of successful partnership, we’ve agreed to go our separate ways.”

The joint statement also added: “Anitta would like to thank the Warner Music team for all their support. And the Warner team wishes Anitta all the best in the future.”

Anitta’s breakthrough single, Show das Poderosas, got released under Warner Music Brazil. Her career continued to rise after multiple platinum-selling albums and monster hits such as Blá blá blá, Downtown (with J Balvin), Girl From Rio, Me Gusta (featuring Cardi B and Myke Towers or 24kGoldn), Paradinha, and Zen.

The Brazilian star also revealed in the joint statement that the deal with Warner Music was “the most important moment in my career.”

Anitta added: “Now, I can show more about my art and culture to the world internationally. I can’t wait for everyone to hear all the new music I’ve been working on, which will be a fresh blend of both; Spanish and English.”

Her fifth studio album, the multilingual version of Me, came out last year.

The 15-track album got released in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. She holds the record for the biggest streaming week for a Brazilian artist on Spotify.

Anitta is one of the most streamed artists in Brazil, with over 23.1 million monthly listeners on the platform and over 17 million YouTube subscribers.

Anitta’s body of work also includes four Latin studio albums and several collaborations.

She was nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards, the first time a Brazilian artist got nominated in the category in nearly 50 years.
