J. Cole Charged About 420K For His Verse On Young Thug Song

J. Cole making a half of million a verse these days. You’re probably thinking $420,000 is a lot just for a verse but Cole world has been the King of verses since 2018. He has delivered on every verse and made sure artist had a good profit return.

In Young Thug song, The London featuring J. Cole and Travis Scott. Cole might have spilled the beans on how much he charges for a features. Cole says,

I left a flock of rappers dead and buried
A verse from me is like 11 birds
I did the math, it’s like two thousand dollars every word

Cole says approximately 210 words on this track, including the intro and his adlibs. According to the math that he provides in this line, this verse should have cost around $420,000. However, it is very likely that he did not charge Thug this much or at all for this verse, seeing that they are friends and that Cole is executive producing Thug’s album.
