AOC Calls to Expand Access to Halal & Kosher Foods

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) will outline her efforts to increase access to halal and kosher foods through the federal ‘Farm bill‘ in 2023 at the Parkchester Islamic Center on Friday. On Friday, August 4th, the event will begin at 3 p.m. ET.

Every five years, Congress passes the so-called Farm bill, which governs agriculture, nutrition, conservation, and forestry policy in the United States.

Representatives from MUNA Social Services and Met Council will join the Congresswoman.
